In a firm and unambiguous statement from Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi asserted that Western powers now have no option but to acknowledge and accept Iran’s considerable scientific advancements, particularly in the nuclear sector. His comments highlight the escalating tension between Iran’s push for technological sovereignty and international skepticism.
Speaking during a visit to the Atomic Energy Organization, Minister Araghchi lauded the country’s nuclear achievements and adopted an uncompromising stance, emphasizing that Iran would never relinquish its inherent right to scientific progress in this field. He stated that Iran has demonstrated “spectacular performance” in this sensitive and complex technological arena—a domain where Western powers have historically sought to maintain a monopoly.
The Foreign Minister reaffirmed the exclusively peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program. He pointed out that the nation’s nuclear capabilities, including uranium enrichment, have vast potential for widespread application in critical sectors such as medicine and healthcare, environmental protection, agriculture, and industry.
Addressing Western concerns directly, Araghchi dismissed accusations of militarization: “Western countries object that we are building nuclear weapons, while the reality is that we are advancing our country towards scientific progress using technology from the nuclear field.” This narrative supports Iran’s consistent position that its nuclear endeavors are strictly for civilian purposes.
Meanwhile, international engagement remains a priority for Tehran. Indian media sources report that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is expected to visit India next week, signaling Iran’s ongoing efforts to strengthen regional and global ties amid continuous pressure from Western nations
