Karachi — At the close of the business week, the local gold market in Pakistan registered a decrease in prices. The ripple effects of the international market downturn were observed in the domestic bullion market, offering some relief to consumers.
According to figures released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association:
- The price of gold per tola has decreased by Rs 600, bringing the new price to Rs 422,462.
- Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs 514, settling at Rs 362,193.
Global Market Overview:
The international market also witnessed a slight dip in gold prices. Globally, the price of gold was recorded at $4,001 per ounce, a reduction of $6.
Domestic gold prices are typically influenced by global gold rates and the value of the Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar. This fluctuation is significant for both investors and consumers.
