Islamabad — In a move that highlights the ongoing restoration of international cricket and strengthens sporting ties, the Sri Lanka national cricket team has arrived in Islamabad under the leadership of Captain Charith Asalanka for a short but crucial tour. This visit signals the beginning of an exciting cricket season in Pakistan.
Series Itinerary:
The tour will commence with a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series, scheduled to be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from November 11 to November 15.
Following the conclusion of the ODI series, a major cricketing event will take center stage:
- T20 Triangular Series: Pakistan, Zimbabwe, and Sri Lanka will compete against each other in this tri-nation tournament.
- The Triangular Series will be contested in the cities of Rawalpindi and Lahore from November 17 to November 29.
The arrival of the Sri Lankan team and the forthcoming Triangular Series are viewed as another significant step towards the complete revival of international cricket in Pakistan, reflecting the strong working relationship between the cricket boards of both nations.
