A significant fraud targeting international cricketers has been uncovered in occupied Kashmir concerning an alleged cricket tournament, leading to the sudden disappearance of the event’s organizers.
According to media reports, international players from around the world were invited to participate in a tournament dubbed the ‘Indian Haven Premier League.’ However, the tournament’s administration and league owners allegedly vanished overnight without paying the contracted fees to the players.
Star Players Refuse and Collapse of the Event:
While Australia’s Shaun Marsh and Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan had declined invitations to participate earlier, the tournament did manage to host a few matches initially at the Bakshi Stadium in occupied Kashmir before the situation deteriorated. West Indies star batsman Chris Gayle reportedly left the tournament prematurely due to the non-payment of his dues.
Due to the failure to pay the players on time, the tournament had to be postponed even before its scheduled completion date.
Media reports indicate that the police have initiated an investigation into the fraud. The league was originally scheduled to run from October 25 to November 8. This incident raises serious questions about financial transparency and trust in organizing sports events in occupied Kashmir.
