KARACHI: Gold prices continued their upward trend on Monday, registering another increase in both international and domestic markets. This rally also influenced the price of silver, which saw a corresponding rise.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold (per ounce) increased by $13, bringing it to a new level of $4,015.
Reflecting this global trend, local sarafa markets also experienced a significant jump. The price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs. 1,300, reaching a new high of Rs. 423,862.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs. 1,115, settling at Rs. 363,393.
The price hike was not limited to gold. The domestic price of silver (per tola) also increased by Rs. 25, reaching Rs. 5,152. The price of 10 grams of silver went up by Rs. 22, landing at Rs. 4,417.
