The city of Istanbul, Turkey, is the venue for a significant diplomatic meeting today focusing on the latest situation in Gaza. Foreign ministers from eight countries are participating in the summit.
The meeting will assess the progress of the Gaza ceasefire agreement and review the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the territory. Pakistan is being represented by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. Other nations attending include Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Indonesia, Jordan, and Egypt.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson, the country will take a firm stand during the meeting. Pakistan will not only emphasize the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement but will also strongly demand a complete Israeli withdrawal from the occupied Palestinian territories, especially from Gaza.
