LAHORE/SAHIWAL – Following demands from local industrialists, the Punjab government has decided to establish a new industrial estate in Sahiwal to facilitate industry and boost employment.
The announcement was made by Provincial Industries Minister Shafay Hussain after a meeting with a delegation from the Sahiwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“My mission is to increase employment opportunities by accelerating the process of industrialization,” Shafay Hussain stated, emphasizing the government’s goal.
However, the minister issued a strict warning regarding the use of the plots. He stressed that industrial centers will not be allowed to be used for the property business under any circumstances. He made it clear that industrialists who acquire plots in the new estate must establish a functional industrial unit within two years. “Plots will be canceled for those who fail to comply with this policy,” Hussain warned.
