MUMBAI – Rumors of a surprise wedding between Bollywood actress Mahima Chaudhry and veteran actor Sanjay Mishra recently sent social media into a frenzy, leaving fans both stunned and confused.
The speculation was ignited by a viral video showing Chaudhry dressed as a bride in a traditional red saree, while Mishra appeared alongside her in a formal kurta and waistcoat.
The rumors were further fueled when Mahima was seen telling photographers, “You couldn’t come to the wedding, but at least have some sweets,” prompting congratulations from the paparazzi.
However, the truth behind the perplexing video soon came to light. Indian media outlets have confirmed that the “wedding” was not real.
The entire event was, in fact, an elaborate promotional stunt for their upcoming film, “Durlabh Prasad Ki Doosri Shaadi” (Durlabh Prasad’s Second Marriage).
Directed by Sudhant Raj, the film features Mahima Chaudhry and Sanjay Mishra playing a married couple. The staged wedding scenes were crafted purely for promotional purposes and were not a real-life event.
