PESHAWAR – After a period of anticipation, the formation of the new provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has been finalized. Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has given his formal approval to the members of the new cabinet.
The governor finalized the appointments by signing the official summary sent to him by the provincial Chief Minister, a crucial step in formalizing the new administration.
Following this approval, a formal oath-taking ceremony for the new cabinet members is scheduled to take place today at 3 PM at the Governor House in Peshawar. Governor Faisal Karim Kundi will administer the oath of office to the newly appointed members.
According to the details, the new provincial cabinet is composed of 10 ministers, 2 advisors, and 1 special assistant, who will now assume responsibility for various government departments.
The new cabinet includes several key members such as Meena Khan, Fazal Shakoor, Faisal Tarakai, Aqibullah, Shafi Jan, Khaliq-ur-Rehman, Dr. Amil, Riaz Khan, Fakhar Jahan, Taj Muhammad Tarand, Aftab Alam, and Arshad Ayub Khan.
Notably, former finance advisor Muzammil Aslam has also been included in the new cabinet, returning to a key role. With this formal approval and oath-taking, the provincial government will become fully functional, tasked with the significant responsibility of serving the people and promoting development in the province.
