Devastating scenes have emerged from Gaza after an Israeli airstrike shattered a ceasefire agreement, killing 104 Palestinians, including 46 children. The attack also left 253 people wounded.
Responding to the violence, Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, described the events on Tuesday as “extremely disappointing and disturbing.”
In a significant diplomatic statement, the Prime Minister revealed that it is “clear to him that Hamas is ready to leave the government in Gaza.” He added that Qatar is actively trying to convince Hamas to “accept the need to surrender its arms.”
In a separate move, Israel has also banned representatives from the Red Crescent from visiting Palestinian prisoners held in its jails.
Pakistan has strongly condemned the attacks. A spokesperson for the Foreign Office urged the international community to intervene immediately to stop Israel’s violations of the ceasefire.
