A 29-year-old resident of Abu Dhabi, Anil Kumar Bola, has made history by winning a staggering 100 million dirhams, the largest lottery prize ever in the United Arab Emirates. It was an act of love for his mother that turned him into a multi-millionaire overnight.
Speaking to Gulf media, Anil Kumar revealed that there was no special strategy behind his win. He simply chose the number “11” because it is the month of his mother’s birthday and bought 12 tickets at one time.
When he received the call informing him of his win, he was in total disbelief. “I couldn’t believe that I had won 100 million dirhams,” he said. “This is nothing less than a dream.”
With his newfound fortune, Anil plans to buy a super-luxury car and celebrate his win at a seven-star hotel. He also intends to move his family to Abu Dhabi. Alongside his personal plans, he is also dedicated to spending a portion of his winnings on charitable causes.
