Pakistan’s national hockey team is finalizing its preparations for the prestigious Pro Hockey League, beginning with an upcoming tour to Spain. According to sources, the team will play two matches against Spain in Barcelona on November 29 and 30. The team is scheduled to depart for this tour on November 26, following their recent tour to Bangladesh.
As part of their preparations, the team recently toured Bangladesh, playing three matches in Dhaka on October 13, 14, and 16. The winner of that crucial series earned a spot in the World Cup qualifier, set for the last week of February. The final schedule for the qualifier will be decided following this series.
The Pro Hockey League will officially begin for Pakistan in December. The first stage will be in Argentina from December 10-15, where the team will face the host nation and the Netherlands.
The second stage is set for February in Hobart, Australia, where the national team will compete against Australia and Germany.
In the second week of June, the team will travel to Belgium to play matches against Belgium and Spain. The final leg will be in London during the last week of June, featuring matches against England and arch-rivals India. Hockey fans can look forward to the high-stakes matches between Pakistan and India, scheduled for June 23 and 25.
