In response to the demanding security landscape in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the provincial government is actively enhancing the operational capabilities of its police force. The focus is on providing law enforcement with the necessary tools to manage frontline challenges and ensure officer safety.
Adeel Iqbal, the provincial spokesperson for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), confirmed the government’s commitment to this upgrade. Speaking to Geo News, he stated that the police have been supplied with modern weaponry and a new fleet of vehicles.
Iqbal emphasized that these efforts are part of an ongoing strategy to continuously boost the police force’s capacity.
A critical component of this initiative is the deployment of armored protection. The spokesperson confirmed that multiple bullet-proof vehicles have already been delivered to the force. He further assured that the government will continue to assess operational needs and will supply more bullet-proof vehicles to any districts that require them in the future.
