Karachi: In major news for millions of sports enthusiasts in Pakistan, the country’s first private sports channel, “Geo Super,” is set to broadcast the world’s biggest sporting events live.
Geo Super has signed a landmark agreement with the international streaming platform “Miko.” Under this deal, Pakistani viewers will now have direct access to the English Premier League, Wimbledon, Formula E, World Squash Federation events, karate, cricket, and other top-tier global competitions.
This partnership marks the beginning of a new era for sports broadcasting in Pakistan, offering fans a single platform to watch the world’s best athletes in action.
Umair Masoom, MD of Miko, called it a “very important day for sports lovers.” He praised Geo Super as a pioneer and explained the synergy: “We have exclusive rights for many sports, which viewers will now be able to watch on Geo Super’s screen. Similarly, Geo Super’s broadcasted matches will be streamed live on our app.”
This five-year agreement is being seen as a revolutionary step to provide Pakistani audiences with high-definition access to international sports.
