RIYADH — The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that over 4 million Umrah visas have been issued since the start of the current Umrah season, with Pakistan topping the list of pilgrim arrivals.
According to the ministry, the 2025 Umrah season began in June, welcoming millions of Muslims from around the world to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah to perform the pilgrimage.
After Pakistan, Indonesia ranks second, followed by India in third place, Iraq in fourth, and Egypt in fifth, according to the official data.
The ministry credited the milestone to Saudi Arabia’s advanced digital visa and entry systems, which have streamlined the process for pilgrims.
Authorities further stated that the government continues to enhance facilities related to accommodation, transportation, and crowd management to ensure a comfortable and spiritually fulfilling experience for every pilgrim
