TANK — In a shocking act of violence, unidentified armed men blew up a girls’ primary school in the Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa late last night, spreading panic among residents.
According to District Police Officer Shabbir Hussain Shah, the incident occurred in the Garah Budha area, where militants planted an explosive device inside the school building. The bomb detonated with a powerful blast, completely destroying the structure and shaking the surrounding area.
Fortunately, the school was empty at the time, and no casualties were reported. However, the explosion left residents terrified, fearing further attacks in the region.
Local elders expressed grave concern over the deteriorating security situation, stating that lives and property are no longer safe in the district. They reminded authorities that this is not the first attack on educational institutions in the region and urged immediate action to restore peace and protect schools.
