US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced that multiple countries are prepared to participate in an international force intended for Gaza, signaling a new phase in stabilization efforts for the region.
This development comes as British troops have already been deployed to Israel to monitor the Gaza peace plan, following a direct request from the United States. According to British media, a senior UK commander and a limited number of soldiers have been sent to Israel to oversee this monitoring role.
However, these peace efforts are facing a significant challenge. Secretary Rubio strongly condemned a recent move by the Israeli parliament regarding the annexation of the West Bank, calling the action “dangerous” to the fragile Gaza agreement.
Earlier, the head of US CENTCOM, Admiral Brad Cooper, had clarified that the 200 troops being deployed for the monitoring mission would not include US military personnel, emphasizing the international nature of the operation.
