LOS ANGELES:
The long-standing rivalry between two of hip-hop’s most powerful figures has intensified, with rapper 50 Cent utilizing social media to openly mock Sean “Diddy” Combs following his recent legal and professional turmoil. The comments come after Diddy was reportedly sentenced to 50 months in prison on prostitution-related charges.
Capitalizing on his rival’s legal setback, 50 Cent took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to post a link to his G-Unit website alongside a sarcastic offer. “Hey to whoever was booking Diddy for a speaking engagement. I heard he won’t be able to make it, I’m available!,” he wrote, seizing the moment for high-profile trolling.
The tweet was a direct response to a revelation made during Diddy’s court hearing, where the prosecution team disclosed that the disgraced rap mogul had been booked for a speaking engagement in Miami the following week.
Earlier, the Candy Shop star had also publicly celebrated the news that former President Donald Trump was unwilling to grant the Bad Boy Records founder a presidential pardon. “Can you believe he thought he was getting pardoned?” 50 Cent wrote at the time. “No Sir, you are not. You said very nasty things. Yet, Trump being Trump, it could all change on a dime.”
The feud between Diddy and 50 Cent has been a notorious fixture in hip-hop for years, characterized by public insults and business disagreements. The rivalry was famously ignited by 50 Cent’s 2006 track ‘The Bomb,’ where he controversially accused Diddy of possessing knowledge related to the murder of fellow rapper Notorious B.I.G. The recent legal crisis has provided 50 Cent with fresh ammunition in a feud that shows no signs of abatement.
