LOS ANGELES, UNITED STATES – Hollywood’s biggest stars are revealing the complex realities behind their dazzling careers, with confessions of deep insecurity juxtaposed against anticipation for one of the industry’s largest franchises.
Margot Robbie’s Fear of Failure
Margot Robbie, the actress known for Barbie and A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, has confessed to struggling with “imposter syndrome,” admitting a constant fear that her fame and career could be taken away.
“I think every time I’m like, ‘Oh, God, it’s all going to be taken away, I won’t get to do this again, this is the last time,’” Robbie told the Daily Mirror. She said this fear results in a “complete crisis of faith every time” she takes on a new project.
The actress revealed this anxiety even influenced her craft, leading her to refuse to use her native Australian accent in her recent role. She confessed she uses foreign accents to “kind of hide myself in a character,” though she now seeks roles where she can see more of herself, rather than hide.
Colin Farrell Teases ‘The Batman Part II’
Meanwhile, actor Colin Farrell has provided an early, thrilling update on The Batman Part II, where he plays the villain The Penguin. As the sequel prepares to begin shooting, Farrell confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that he has read the script and found it “deeper, scarier, the stakes are bigger.”
Interestingly, Farrell revealed that his role in the sequel is “even smaller” than his part in the original The Batman, though he remains excited about the project, which is scheduled for an October 1, 2027 release.
Farrell reflected on his initial confusion about the character in the first film, admitting he first thought the Penguin was “a bit silly.” His perspective only shifted when director Matt Reeves showed him the character’s terrifying makeup mockup, which provided him with crucial insight and made the entire script “clear.” He called his casting a special moment for the “child in Dublin who used to draw Batman signals on his jeans.”
