Robert Irwin’s Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) journey took a heartwarming turn when his sister, Bindi Irwin, joined him during rehearsal, making it a family affair.
The Australian conservationist took to his Instagram handle on Thursday to post a snap of his sister crashing his dance practice with his DWTS partner, Witney Carson.
Robert humorously captioned the post: “Bring your sister to work day!”
Bindi jumped into the comment section, playfully admitting that the visit reminded her he has “no idea about TikTok trends.” To this, Robert quickly retorted with the hashtag “#Millennial.” Witney also backed up Bindi, writing, “Hey, we’re cool, ok!”
Finding His Late Father’s Energy in Australia
In a recent interview with Travel + Leisure, Robert also revealed his deep connection to his home country, Australia, stating he loves living there because it reminds him of his late dad, Steve Irwin.
He shared, “It is where I feel his energy and his passion more than anywhere else.” He added that the ability to connect with nature is “the great part of getting to live here.”
“It’s so easy to get out in the middle of nowhere and just forget everything. You feel like you’re part of something so much bigger than yourself,” the Australian native concluded.
Steve Irwin tragically died in September 2006 after being attacked by a stingray while filming on the coast of Australia.
