The Directorate General of Customs Valuation, an entity operating under the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), is the authorized body for setting the customs value of new iPhone models as per Section 25A of the Customs Act, 1969.
Earlier this year, the directorate published the revised customs values for the iPhone 16 series, which included the Pro Max 512GB model. These values were updated to align with current market prices, where a decline had been observed. The new figures were finalized after market assessments were conducted to determine the actual retail prices of mobile phones within the country.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max, Apple’s flagship model, shares the same powerful performance as the iPhone 16 Pro, but its key differentiator is the display size. The Pro Max features a larger 6.9-inch screen, in contrast to the iPhone 16 Pro’s 6.3-inch display and the standard iPhone 16’s 6.1-inch screen.
The device is equipped with a Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion technology and also includes the Always-On display feature. It is powered by the A18 Pro chip, which features a 6-core CPU, a 6-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine designed to further enhance Apple Intelligence.
The latest customs value for the 512GB version of the iPhone 16 Pro Max has been fixed at $1,278, which is equivalent to Rs356,629 as of September 24, 2025.
