According to internal sources, Adele has reportedly been contacted about performing at the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show. However, as of yet, the artist has not confirmed her participation in the highly sought-after event, as per a recent report from Page Six. These talks are taking place alongside existing rumors that suggest Taylor Swift, a Kansas City Chiefs supporter and now-fiancée of Travis Kelce, or Miley Cyrus could also be candidates for the slot.
This isn’t the first time the “Rolling in the Deep” singer has been linked to the Super Bowl. In 2016, Adele stated she had been approached for the show but turned it down, explaining to an audience, “I’m not doing the Super Bowl… I can’t dance or anything like that.” However, at the time, the NFL and former sponsor Pepsi countered her claim, stating that no formal offer had been extended to any performer. Adele’s fiancé, Rich Paul, is a prominent sports agent, which adds another layer to the ongoing discussion.
The selection of the halftime performer is a joint effort between the NFL and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. Fans are eagerly awaiting an official announcement, which is typically made in September. The anticipation grew recently when NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, during an appearance on the Today show, praised Taylor Swift as a “special, special talent.” When asked if Swift would be performing, he responded cryptically, “I can’t tell you anything about that… It’s a maybe,” and added, “I’m waiting on my friend Jay-Z to be able to help me… It’s in his hands.”
