State authorities have designated Balochistan-based groups as ‘Fitna al-Hind’ to underscore India’s alleged involvement in terrorism and destabilization across Pakistan.
In a press release, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that on the night of September 14/15, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) based on intelligence about the presence of “terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy Fitna al-Hind.” The military’s media wing added, “During the operation, our forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and after an intense fire exchange, five Indian-sponsored terrorists were sent to hell.”
The ISPR noted that “weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the terrorists, who were actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.” A sanitization operation is currently underway to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
The military reaffirmed its commitment, stating, “Pakistan’s security forces are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country and reaffirm the nation’s unwavering resolve to bring the perpetrators of terrorism to justice.”
This operation followed an explosion in Balochistan’s Kech district on Monday, which martyred five security personnel, including an officer. Earlier, over the weekend, the ISPR had stated that security forces killed 31 terrorists in two separate IBOs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts.
On September 12, the ISPR reported that troops also killed four “Indian-sponsored terrorists” during an IBO in Balochistan’s Mastung. On September 7, police said that an improvised explosive device was detonated in Khuzdar’s Naal area, seriously injuring two people. Last month, security forces gunned down 50 terrorists during a four-day operation, thwarting an attempt by militants to cross into Balochistan from Afghanistan.
