The Cabinet Division has made public the Toshakhana records for January to June 2025, revealing a list of high-value gifts presented to top state officials, including the president, prime minister, ministers, and senior officials. These items, such as watches, luxury vehicles, carpets, handicrafts, and traditional artifacts, were received during foreign visits and local events.
The released data, which includes 137 entries, details gifts from heads of state, royal families, diplomats, and business delegations. The exact value of these gifts is still under assessment by the Cabinet Division.
Gifts to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received a total of 61 gifts, many of which were decorative and traditional items, along with several high-end wristwatches. On January 1, 2025, he was notably presented with two luxury watches—an IWC Schaffhausen and a Panerai, both with warranty cards—by Sheikh Abdul Hadi Mana Al-Hajri of Qatar.
The Shah of the State of Selangor, Malaysia, gifted the Prime Minister a ‘Golden Kris,’ a traditional Malaysian dagger, and the President of Turkiye presented him with an electric car. During his visit to Azerbaijan, the Prime Minister received a handmade silk carpet, while the President of Tajikistan gifted him a box containing a golden teacup and spoon.
From Saudi Arabia, PM Shehbaz was given a model of Mimbar-e-Rasool by Prince Mansour Bin Muhammad Bin Saad bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, and a wooden box with two documents (the Charter of Makkah in English and Arabic) by Dr. Mohammad Abdulkareem Al-Issa. The Chief of General Staff from Iran presented him with a wall hanging and a shield.
Gifts to Other Government Officials While the Prime Minister’s gifts from Saudi hosts were not extravagant, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his delegation received several high-end wristwatches. On January 28, the Saudi Interior Minister gifted six Rolex, five Tudor, three Black Armin, and nine Frank Rosha watches to Pakistani officials, primarily government officers.
President Asif Ali Zardari received 11 gifts, including a ladies’ suit and a bedsheet from the High Commissioner of Bangladesh. His most valuable gift was an electric vehicle from the President of Turkiye. He was also presented with a carpet from the Iranian Foreign Minister, along with vases, candle stands, shields, a coffee set, and onyx items.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar received several Afghan carpets and traditional bowls, while Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was presented with prayer mats and Turkish handicrafts. Other ministers, advisors, and security officials were gifted watches, rugs, wall hangings, and porcelain items.
