Selena Gomez has revealed her reasons for consistently returning to her Disney show, “Wizards of Waverly Place.” She feels so much gratitude for having started her career in the “safe” environment of the show that she is now also executive producing its sequel, “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.”
The “Wolves” hitmaker made a cameo appearance in the sequel’s pilot episode and was a guest star in the second season. While reminiscing about the show, she shared with “Allure,” “I was there during the crucial years of my brain’s development. And all those people who were on the show with us have grown and evolved, and I want them to be in my life. I think that’s why I always go back.”
The “Only Murders in the Building” star added, “I genuinely feel like I owe a large part of my life to that show.” “It’s a home. It’s safe. And my sister gets a real kick out of it, so half the reason I’m doing it is for her.”
This comes as the “Emilia Perez” star prepares to marry her fiancé, Benny Blanco. The couple was first linked in mid-2023. They went public with their relationship via an Instagram post in December, with Selena Gomez later confirming their dating status in the comments.
