Reality TV star Teddi Mellencamp is using her platform to raise awareness about the importance of life insurance, a topic that has become deeply personal for her. Currently battling stage 4 skin cancer, she took to Instagram to share her message with her 1.2 million followers.
In a video posted on Thursday, Teddi explained that she was “blindsided” by her diagnosis, despite having had stage 1 melanoma previously. She reflected on her younger years, stating that if she had gotten life insurance then, it would have eased many of her current worries.
“Right now there are so many unknowns. Life insurance shouldn’t be one of them,” she said.
Teddi stressed that this was a message she felt was “too important not to share.” She candidly told her followers, “With everything that’s happened in my health journey, life insurance is the one thing I look back on and wish I would have gotten when I was younger.”
She ended her appeal with a powerful message, encouraging everyone to act now. “There’s no wrong time to get life insurance. Do it now. Do it for your kids. Do it for your family. Do it for your peace of mind.”
