Rashid Khan has surpassed New Zealand’s Tim Southee to become the highest wicket-taker in Twenty20 Internationals. He now holds the record for the most wickets in the format, with a total of 165.
This achievement comes after Afghanistan secured their first victory in the ongoing tri-nation series with a 38-run win over the United Arab Emirates at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Monday.
Pakistan is scheduled to face Afghanistan today in the fourth match of the tri-nation series at the same venue. The Green Shirts had previously defeated Afghanistan by 39 runs in the opening match of the series.
