According to details that emerged on Sunday, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz remained actively engaged with flood-affected citizens for the fourth consecutive day. She arrived at the flood relief camp set up at DPS in Kasur, where she comforted displaced women, met with the sick, and inspected the quality of food being provided.
At the temporary hospital, she visited patients and affectionately embraced children. During a visit to a flood relief camp in Sheikhupura Nau, the Chief Minister supported distressed women and personally held affected children to encourage them. CM Maryam also reviewed the arrangements made by police, rescue services, and civil defense at the relief camps, and praised the efforts of Rescue, police, PDMA, and all relevant departments. She also expressed her gratitude for the Pakistan Army’s role in the rescue operations.
On her way back, the Chief Minister stopped at a fruit vendor’s stall near Talwar Post in Sheikhupura Nau, where she hugged a woman and bought guavas.
