Late Sunday night, four police personnel were injured when unidentified assailants opened fire on a police vehicle at the Gattidas check post in the Naran police station area. According to police officials, unknown gunmen hiding in the nearby mountains targeted the vehicle during a routine patrol. The exchange of fire left four policemen injured.
Emergency teams from the Kaghan Development Authority quickly arrived at the scene and transported the injured to Naran Hospital via Rescue 1122 ambulances. They were later moved to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital in Mansehra for specialized care. Following the attack, a large police contingent reached the area and launched a major search operation. Authorities confirmed that Chilas police have also joined a joint operation to track down the attackers.
