New information has emerged regarding the personal life of Brandon Blackstock, the ex-husband of singer Kelly Clarkson, following his recent death. According to his obituary and reports from People magazine, Blackstock was in a relationship with a woman named Brittney Marie Jones until his passing on August 7, 2025.
Jones, who was described as his “beautiful and loving partner in life and business,” worked as a production assistant for Kelly Clarkson from 2016 to 2018. She later moved to Montana to work for Blackstock’s cattle ranch, the same month Clarkson filed for divorce in June 2020. The obituary noted that Blackstock and Jones had started “building a life, building companies, and working tirelessly to create Headwaters Livestock Auction and what will live on as his legacy, The Valley View Rodeo in Bozeman, Montana.”
Blackstock passed away at the age of 48 after a private, three-year battle with melanoma, a serious form of skin cancer. He is survived by his four children: Savannah and Seth from his first marriage to Melissa Ashworth, and River and Remington from his marriage to Kelly Clarkson.
