In the second ODI at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies’ fast bowler Jayden Seales delivered a significant blow to Pakistan’s batting lineup. Seales dismissed both opener Saim Ayub and captain Babar Azam in a single maiden over. Ayub, who had started well with four boundaries and a six, was removed by Seales for the second time in the series. Seales then went on to dismiss Babar Azam for a duck.

West Indies captain Shai Hope won the toss and chose to field first. Pakistan, coming off a victory in the first ODI, made three changes to their playing XI.
