According to sources, Nicola Peltz has not yet forgiven her mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham. Insiders speaking to Closer Magazine claim that the rift between the young couple and David and Victoria Beckham is still ongoing, and Nicola is struggling to move past the animosity, which allegedly began when Victoria left her in tears on her wedding day.
The source highlighted the couple’s recent private vow renewal on their third wedding anniversary, noting, “The fact that Nicola and Brooklyn went ahead and renewed their vows without his family present says everything you need to know.” The source added that Nicola is not willing to make any concessions and “the whole wedding fiasco is still front and centre of her mind.” They explained that she can’t simply “brush this aside,” as she was “treated abysmally during one of the most important moments of her life and there’s been zero accountability.”
Despite recent reports that Elton John, Brooklyn’s godfather and a close family friend, has tried to mediate, the source states that Nicola is “not in any kind of mood to forgive or and forget” after all the “trash talking” done by Victoria. While she appreciates Elton’s efforts and has promised to be civil with Victoria, Nicola has no interest in faking a close relationship. She believes the first move towards reconciliation must come from Victoria.
