Casandra “Cassie” Ventura has posted on social media for the first time since testifying against her ex-partner, Sean “Diddy” Combs. The singer took to Instagram on Thursday to share a video about postpartum recovery, marking her first post since the birth of her third child.
The video, originally posted by the ‘momswithplans’ Instagram page, shows a man dancing to DJ Khaled’s “Wild Thoughts” with the text, “When your old self slowly starts coming out postpartum.” Ventura captioned her repost, “Factual. Little by little. lol.”
Ventura and Fine, who are already parents to two girls, Frankie Stone, 5, and Sunny Cinco, 4, welcomed their first son on May 28 but have not yet revealed his name.
Ventura’s return to social media comes just days after Combs was denied bail for the fifth time since his arrest. Judge Arun Subramanian ruled against the rapper’s release from the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center, citing a “risk of flight or danger.”
Amidst his attempts for release before his sentencing on federal charges of transportation for prostitution, Combs’ inner circle is reportedly seeking a presidential pardon. A source told People Magazine that “People in Diddy’s world and orbit are reaching out to his administration for a pardon, but not his legal team.” His lawyer, Nicole Westmoreland, confirmed on August 5 to CNN that efforts were being made to request a pardon.
Combs is scheduled to be sentenced on October 3 and faces up to 20 years in federal prison.
