Abdul Rahim Lalani, Father of Dallas Personality Andy Lalani, Laid to Rest – Strong Presence from Community Leaders and Entertainment Industry

Dallas: Abdul Rahim Lalani, the respected father of well-known Dallas entertainment figure Andy Lalani—affectionately known as Ameen Bhai—passed away at the age of 91 after a prolonged illness. The late Abdul Rahim Lalani was not only the father of Andy Lalani but also the maternal uncle of Amir Ali Makhani, President of South Asia Democracy Watch. His funeral prayers and burial rites were held on Wednesday, August 6, at the Hughes Family Tribute Center in Dallas, followed by Samar and Ziyarat gatherings at the Mid Cities Jamaat Khana. The funeral and related ceremonies were attended by a large number of notable personalities from Dallas’s entertainment industry, media, business, and community leadership, who came together to honor the memory of the deceased. Among those present were Naseer Siddiqui, founder of Hiba Entertainment, Mohammad Abbas of 360 Entertainment, renowned journalist and community leader Raja Zahid Akhtar Khanzada, Inaamullah Sherwani, Salim Ali, Shazia Khan, Shahab Siddiqui, and representatives of the Pakistan Society of North Texas, along with leaders from various political and social organizations. After the funeral prayers, attendees met individually with Andy Lalani, Amir Ali Makhani, and other family members to offer their heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. The broader Dallas community, including prominent figures from the social, business, and media sectors, expressed deep sympathy, prayed for the forgiveness of Abdul Rahim Lalani’s soul, and stood in solidarity with the bereaved family in their time of sorrow.
