Rapper Nicki Minaj is embroiled in a legal battle after the man who killed her father in a 2021 hit-and-run hired private investigators to track her down.
According to RadarOnline, Charles Polevich, who served a year in prison for fleeing the scene after striking Robert Maraj, is now attempting to depose Nicki as part of a $150 million wrongful death lawsuit filed by her mother, Carol Maraj.
It has been alleged that Nicki has become difficult to locate, with her $20 million Hidden Hills mansion appearing “abandoned.” Despite several attempts, the rapper has not received the court-ordered deposition notice. In one instance, her husband, Kenneth Petty, reportedly refused to accept the legal documents on her behalf.
Charles Polevich wants Nicki Minaj to testify about her song lyrics that reference her father, which he claims are relevant to the case. Carol Maraj’s lawyers have called this request “borderline harassment,” but the court has sided with Polevich, granting him a 60-day extension to serve the “Barbie World” hitmaker with the deposition notice.
