Actress and singer Cynthia Erivo has confirmed she is ready for the ‘Wicked: For Good’ press tour, following her stunning and thematic fashion choices during last year’s tour. Erivo famously channeled her character Elphaba with a variety of striking looks.
The Creative Process Behind the Fashion: In an interview with People Magazine, Erivo praised her style team, led by Jason Bolden. “I mean, they’re my family currently,” she said. “We keep each other busy. And these last few months have been really wonderful.” Discussing her ten different outfits from the recent Tony Awards, Erivo described each look as “very detailed” and “very intentional.”
Personal Style and Intent: “Everything was really thought out, and that’s the way we always are,” Erivo explained. “We’re very picky, selective about what we put on and what we’re wearing, and the story we’re telling.” She added, “If it doesn’t feel good to wear, we’re not wearing it. And if I love it and it feels good, then I’ll be wearing it.”
Looking Ahead: The sequel, ‘Wicked: For Good’, is scheduled for release in November 2025. Erivo concluded with excitement for the upcoming tour, saying, “As long as we know what story we’re telling, and it feels good to tell that story, then I’ll be in it. We have a good time. And hopefully, we’ll be having a good time this time round as well.”
