Sources are raising serious health concerns about actor Tom Selleck, with reports from Radar Online claiming that he is struggling with a “secret fast food addiction” and has gained over 100 pounds. According to these insiders, the 80-year-old American actor’s family and friends are worried that his health is at risk.
Insiders told the outlet that Selleck’s binge eating is a response to his distress over the cancellation of his famous CBS drama, Blue Bloods. The show, which ran for 14 seasons from 2010 to 2024, reportedly meant a lot to him. A source shared, “Tom’s down in the dumps. Bingeing on fast food and chips takes the blues away, if only for a little while, but he’s not doing himself any favors.” The source added that he “gorges on junk food outside of the house because he must know she wouldn’t approve” and that he had promised his wife, Jillie, he would try to lose weight.
“Everyone understands he’s heartbroken about losing the show,” the insider said. “But it’s over now, and he’s in a rut. He’s neglecting his health and facing some serious consequences as a result.”
The actor’s poor eating habits have reportedly made his daily activities painful. “It’s just going to get worse unless he kicks the fatty-food addiction and gets on an age-appropriate exercise program,” the insider noted. “The show’s cancellation hit him much harder than people realize… People are very worried about Tom and fear he’s eating himself into the grave with a fork and knife.” A source also claimed, “He looks like he weighs at least 350 pounds. His massive abdominal obesity means that he may already be insulin resistant, has a very high likelihood of already being diabetic, and is at increased risk for a heart attack or a stroke.”
