Ozzy Osbourne, the iconic 76-year-old rock legend, who sadly passed away on Tuesday after a prolonged battle with Parkinson’s and other health complications, may have his final moments shared with fans on screen. According to his son, Jack, the Black Sabbath frontman had filmed a documentary with his wife, Sharon, titled “Home To Roost,” which chronicled their return to the UK after living in the US for two decades.
Jack also informed the Daily Mail’s Weekend magazine that his father had completed an autobiography, “Last Rites,” which is slated for release later this year.
The 39-year-old also conducted an interview with his father before his passing and discussed his role as a co-producer on an upcoming biopic about the “Prince of Darkness.” Jack stated: “Right now it’ll take place over the Sabbath era and early 1980s. We’re definitely going for a more adult rating for the film.” He added, “This is by no means going to be a fluff piece. Right now we’re going through a rewrite with Craig Borten, who wrote [the Matthew McConaughey-starring] Dallas Buyers Club.”
Ozzy Osbourne’s death was announced by his family in a heartfelt statement: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.” The statement concluded, “We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”
