Snoop Dogg has become a co-owner of the English Championship side, Swansea City.
The football club officially introduced the renowned rapper as their new investor on Thursday, releasing photographs of him sporting their new home jersey for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
In a statement published on the club’s website, Snoop Dogg expressed his enthusiasm: “My love of football is no secret, and it feels special to make my move into club ownership with Swansea City.”
He added, “The story of the club and the area really struck a chord with me. This is a proud, working-class city and club. An underdog that bites back—just like me.”
This move positions Snoop Dogg alongside other high-profile owners at Swansea, including former Real Madrid stalwart and Croatia World Cup finalist Luka Modric, who acquired a minority stake earlier this year.
It’s worth noting that Snoop Dogg’s involvement with Swansea comes after American businessmen Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen took over the club last November.
The acquisition also sets up a direct rivalry between Snoop Dogg and fellow North American stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who famously purchased Welsh club Wrexham AFC in 2020.
Wrexham, which recently earned promotion to League One, is currently continuing its pre-season tour and is scheduled to return to Wales after Saturday’s match against Wellington Phoenix in New Zealand.
