Hoda Kotb and her children are embarking on a new chapter with the arrival of a new puppy. The former TODAY co-anchor introduced the pup, named Waffles, in a video shared on her Instagram on Thursday.
“It’s official! Meet our newest addition — WAFFLES!” Kotb captioned the video, which showed her two daughters enthusiastically greeting the sandy-colored dog.
The video opens with Kotb, 60, clapping as a friend brings Waffles out of a car to introduce the pet to her family, who were waiting in the driveway. “Look how cute she is,” Kotb gushed as she watched her 6-year-old daughter, Hope, ask to hold the pup.
This marks the family’s second dog. They had previously adopted a rescued Labradoodle named Blake in 2018 but later rehomed him due to a minor incident. Blake reportedly now lives with their family’s dog walker after the pup nipped at Hoda’s newborn daughter when he was being introduced to the baby.
Kotb shares her two daughters, 8-year-old Haley and 6-year-old Hope, with her ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman.
