Raye recently made a frank disclosure about the various addictions she experiences in life. According to the latest findings from well-placed sources, the singer reflected on the complicated relationships she has with individuals who are not beneficial to her in the long run.
Speaking during a concert at the Open’er Festival in Poland, she opened up, “I believe addictions are part of the human experience.” She continued, stating, “You can be addicted to a lot of things in life.” Raye elaborated, “You could be addicted to exercise — which isn’t me, but I’m very happy for those of you who decided to be addicted to exercise. You could be addicted to chocolate, cheese,” the 27-year-old added. Hinting at potential heartbreak, she then stated, “Or you could be addicted to a human being.”
Raye went on to claim that her most significant addiction is forming attachments to the wrong people. “I find the toxic people to just be so addictive,” the “Escapism” hitmaker added. She explained, “You know, when you just can’t tell that person ‘No’. And then you have illegal addictions, no judgment, this is a safe space and for me, too.” She concluded by remarking, “But I think, it’s deemed unattractive as a woman to talk about this kind of addiction.”
