The horror TV series Stranger Things is set to release its fifth and final season at the end of this year. A cast member of the show has confirmed this news, urging fans to prepare for what promises to be the most emotional ending yet.
Noah Schnapp, the 20-year-old actor who portrays Will Byers in the acclaimed Netflix series, told E!, “It’s beyond anything we’ve done yet. It’s so big and so intimate and so heartfelt and probably the most emotional work we’ve done.” He also candidly advised fans to “prepare for tears.”
Schnapp further revealed that the emotional impact wasn’t limited to the audience; the cast themselves were in tears on the final day of shooting. The 20-year-old recalled, “The first day on set felt like any other thing, but the last day on set was really the craziest. I’ll never forget that day. It was very sad and perfect.”
In a Q&A session, when asked who cried the most, Noah admitted, “Probably me. I’m just so sensitive. I mean, everyone was crying. We all love each other, so it’s hard to part ways.” He added, “I was really nervous to see how it would end up, and I’m really happy with it.”
Meanwhile, Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas Sinclair in the series, teased, “A lot of information, love, laughter, cries—all the emotions.” McLaughlin also shared, “Just the quality and love and passion we have put in the last 10 years together. We grew up on the show. We all started in this one place in our lives. This is the end of a chapter, but it’s a beautiful chapter.”
Stranger Things first aired its inaugural season in 2016, and its journey will conclude with the final season releasing on November 26, 2025.
