Zach Bryan genuinely connected with his fans during his BST Hyde Park concert. The renowned 29-year-old country musician responded to Ollie Hawkins’ viral daily TikTok posts, where Ollie asked if he could join Bryan on stage for his birthday to perform “Heading South.”
Ollie’s post featured himself holding a sign that read, “Hi my name is Ollie. I play music and today is my birthday. Can I play Heading South with you?”
Bryan made Ollie’s dream a reality with a simple reply: “Of course brother, can’t wait.” The duo then performed the 2020 hit together in front of a crowd of 65,000 at the American Express presents BST Hyde Park Festival.
Ollie reacted to his wish coming true, taking to Instagram to write, “Life changed. Die a happy man.”
Earlier, the “Pink Skies” crooner expressed feeling “the luckiest man in the world to be here,” drawing a comparison between the sold-out Hyde Park show and his previous UK performances.
“We played Islington Assembly two years ago and we went back there last night. It’s crazy to go from 1000 people there to this crowd,” he recalled.
The Grammy Award-winning musician continued, “I feel like the luckiest man in the world to be here. I love you so much London.”
Before chugging a can of Budweiser, he toasted his fans, proclaiming: “Here’s to London, we f**king love you.”
It’s also worth noting that Zach Bryan debuted a new song titled “Streets of London,” which he wrote and recorded just four days before the gig and is scheduled for release next week.
