Jeremy Allen White, known for his role in The Bear, recently shared his surprise and emotion regarding the public’s reaction to the trailer for his upcoming film, Deliver Me From Nowhere, where he portrays the legendary guitarist Bruce Springsteen. The trailer for the biopic dropped on June 18, 2025.
During a new chat with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, White reflected on the immense pressure of portraying such an iconic figure. “Getting that out, it was so much pressure,” he admitted. He went on to describe the significant emotional impact of the fan response, humorously noting that he received more text messages after the trailer’s release than he did after winning a Golden Globe for his hit series, The Bear.
“You’re playing a real person — never mind Bruce Springsteen,” White stated, confessing he was “really touched” by the reception. “I had more texts than when I blacked out and won that Golden Globe [for The Bear],” he quipped. He concluded by saying, “I didn’t realize trailers were that big of a thing.”
Deliver Me From Nowhere focuses on Springsteen’s journey as he navigates the challenges of creating his iconic album Nebraska, a work that marked a significant departure from his typical musical style. The film is set to hit theaters on October 24, 2025.
