Angelina Jolie is reportedly heartbroken as Brad Pitt has severed connections with two of their children.
Sources close to the situation informed Radar Online that the 50-year-old American actress and filmmaker confided her sadness over her ex-husband’s decision to cut ties with their two eldest sons, 22-year-old Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt and 21-year-old Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt.
According to insiders, Jolie opened up to her friends, stating, “I’m just heartbroken,” and emphasized that she has “always done” what she believed was best for her six children.
For context, the mother of Maddox, Pax, 20-year-old Zahara, 19-year-old Shiloh, and 17-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, initiated divorce proceedings in 2016 following an altercation on a private jet. Their legal battle, primarily over child custody, was finalized in December 2024, officially concluding an eight-year dispute.
Notably, the high-profile Hollywood couple’s separation ignited one of Hollywood’s most contentious custody battles, and their prolonged court proceedings continue to keep the family fractured.
In 2020, Pax notably wrote a Father’s Day message, labeling Pitt a “world-class a***hole” and asserting that his father made the younger siblings “tremble with fear.”
Sources indicate that this message was profoundly painful for Brad, described as a “knife to Brad’s heart.”
Insiders stated that the ‘Troy’ actor has come to terms with the possibility that he may never reconcile with Maddox and Pax, as a significant amount of time has passed since either son last contacted their father.
“He’s devastated, but he’s starting to realize that things with the older boys can’t be repaired. He thinks they’ve been turned against him,” the source claimed.
