The Oscar-winning composer, Lalo Schifrin, reportedly died at the age of 93 at his Los Angeles home, surrounded by his loved ones. His passing was attributed to complications from pneumonia.
A source, conveying the actor’s sentiments on this somber news, shared with the outlet, “Tom was devastated when he heard the news, Schifrin played such a huge role in the global success of the franchise.” The source further stated, “He will ensure the musician is very much cemented into the legacy of the movies.”
This report surfaces just weeks after Tom Cruise concluded his iconic role as Ethan Hunt with the release of ‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning’ on May 21st, 2025.
Reflecting on his journey with the franchise on his official Instagram, the star wrote, “Over 30 years ago, I began the journey of producing my first film, Mission: Impossible.”
