British singer Jessie J, 37, recently shared the joyful news that her early-stage breast cancer is “all gone.” Her announcement comes two weeks after she underwent surgery, following her performance at Capital’s Summertime Ball in London on June 15.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, the “Price Tag” crooner wrote, “Cancer is all gone (fingers crossed emoji). My nipple is where it used to be, I can watch Love Island with no guilt.” She added that she’s now “getting to rest and talk to friends more than ever.”
Jessie J shared that she’s surrounded by her loved ones, including her boyfriend Chanan Safir Colman and their two-year-old son, Sky. “My mum lives with us. Sky just being Sky. Chanan making me feel safe and the messages are 10/10,” she updated her fans. She also highlighted the comfort she finds in “connecting with other people who are going through a similar time and being able to support each other. Lot of other things…”
However, the “Bang Bang” singer also candidly shared a list of “cons” from her experience, admitting they were “very honest” but sometimes “silly”:
- “Not being able to be the Mum I’m used to being and not picking sky up or the person I’m used to being tbh (to be honest) I don’t sit down ever. Lol.”
- “The fear of not knowing if the cancer is all gone – the mental with this is (clouded emoji) The pain and discomfort is ok and expected but a d**khead when I’m trying to sleep,” Jessie J concluded, revealing the ongoing emotional and physical challenges.
