Alesha Dixon has recently hinted at a possible Mis-Teeq reunion, sending waves of excitement among fans. During her appearance on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show, the veteran Britain’s Got Talent judge spoke with hosts Fleur East, Will Best, and James Barr, addressing the possibility of the chart-topping group reforming.
25th Anniversary Sparks Reunion Speculation: Alesha Dixon’s Comments
“There might be,” Alesha teased, adding, “Well, next year is the 25th anniversary of Lickin’ on Both Sides, our debut album. We’re thinking. We’re thinking.” She quickly clarified, “Thinking doesn’t mean we’re doing – but we’re thinking, which is more than we’ve done.”
However, her comment has spread like wildfire across social media, sparking widespread speculation among fans who are now eagerly hoping for the return of the UK R&B girl group to the music industry.
For those unfamiliar, Mis-Teeq was a British R&B girl group comprised of Alesha Dixon, Su-Elise Nash, and Sabrina Washington. They released their debut album, Lickin’ on Both Sides, in 2001, which yielded chart-topping singles such as “Scandalous,” “All I Want,” and “One Night Stand.”
While no official plans have been unveiled or confirmed by any of the Mis-Teeq artists, Alesha Dixon’s comment might just be a strong indication that the group could be planning something away from the spotlight, potentially leading up to a supposed 25th-anniversary celebration of their debut album next year.
