North Korea has vehemently condemned the recent U.S. military attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, denouncing it as a blatant violation of the UN Charter and international law. In a statement released by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), the strike was labeled as a serious infringement on Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
DPRK’s Statement: Threat to Global Peace and Critique of US Policies
“The DPRK strongly condemns the US military attack on Iran, regarding it as a gross violation of the UN Charter, which is based on respect for sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs,” the statement declared. The North Korean spokesperson warned that using force to undermine the territorial and political independence of sovereign nations directly threatens global peace and stability. The DPRK attributed the ongoing turmoil in the Middle East to the reckless actions of the United States and Israel, accusing them of pursuing military aggression under the pretexts of “peacekeeping” and “eliminating threats.”
The statement further urged the international community to unite in condemning and resisting what it described as hostile policies by the US and Israel, emphasizing the critical need to safeguard global security.
