Search operations have entered their second day in Swat’s Shahi Bagh Kalam area following a tragic boat accident that left three individuals, including a young brother and sister, missing. According to Rescue 1122, strong river currents and the region’s mountainous terrain are posing extreme challenges to rescue efforts.
The incident occurred when a boat’s engine failed, leading to a collision with a bridge and causing it to overturn. Two women who died in the accident have been identified, and their bodies have been sent to their hometown in Mardan.
Rescue officials confirmed that a boy injured in the incident has received treatment and been discharged from the hospital. Additional Rescue 1122 teams have been dispatched to the area to assist in the ongoing search operation.
Authorities continue to urge caution in the region due to unpredictable water conditions.
